The DBS Superleggera is our most aerodynamically sophisticated production car ever. There’s genuine engineering purpose behind the splitters, side sills and Aeroblade II™ that goes far beyond their muscle-bound appearance. Most notable is the new, fixed, carbon fibre Aeroblade II™. As turbulent air flows along the body side behind the C-Pillar it is controlled and redirected by Aeroblade II™, working in conjunction with the double diffuser which accelerates air beneath the car. Whilst most cars work to reduce lift, the Aeroblade II™ and double diffuser work together to create a huge amount of true downforce, pinning the DBS Superleggera to the road using 180kg of aerodynamic pressure. This incredible combination transforms stability and handling, inspiring driver confidence.
The ultra-light carbon fibre clamshell bonnet would look as at home displayed in a sculpture gallery as it does adorning our most potent product ion model to date. But we never do anything just for show: here the carbon fibre cuts weight, lowers the centre of gravity and expels hot air through a set of beautifully sculpted bonnet vents.
The DBS Superleggera is dominated by a breath-taking hexagonal grille, combining a sense of unbounded strength with the most natural beauty. This sets the visual agenda for the entire car while simultaneously feeding the insatiable appetite for oxygen of the mighty 715bhp engine.
Extreme megacar meets spacious and practical interior
Inside, the Aston Martin DBS design marries sporty ergonomics with passenger comfort. Even with their tapering rooflines, both cars effortlessly house up to 5 occupants. In front of the driver, the continuous horizontal lines of the dash hold a centre instrument console and touch screen panel that just seem to float. And front Sport seats, available in leather or leather-free, give optimum support, even when cornering at speed.

A clean and extreme powertrain
Motivation is provided by the twin-turbo, 5.2-liter V-12 engine that Aston Martin debuted in the DB11. But the unit was revised
for a more powerful setup, now generating 725 PS and 900 Nm of torque, which converts to 715 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of
twist. That’s a solid, 123-horsepower and 199 pound-foot increase over the outgoing Vanquish S. It’s also an extra 115 horses and
148 pound-feet compared to the DB11.
All that power travels to the rear wheels through a revised version of the company’s ZF-source eight-speed automatic and enables
the grand tourer to hit 62 mph from a standing start in an amazing 3.4 seconds. That’s two tenths quicker than the Vanquish S and
a half-second faster than the DB11. Also, the DBS charges from 50 to 100 mph, in fourth gear, in just 4.2 clicks.
Top speed also increased to 211 mph, 10 mph more than the Vanquish S and 11 mph more than the DB11.
The drivetrain can be used in three dynamic modes. The GT mode provides that comfortable grand tourer ride with smooth shifts, while
the Sport setting gives it more grunt. The Sport Plus mode is the most aggressive setup of the DBS, enabling the quickest off-the-line
sprints and a race-inspired exhaust note.
